TRIED & TESTED
Specialty coffee shop in the heart of Gent
10 December 2012
Most striking feature:
Perfect coffee spot in Gent by the owners of the online shop i/object (definitely worth visiting when you’re in need of Christmas presents). In March they already owned the place and opened a temporarily pop up store and now they’ve opened this busy cafe. People walk in for coffee or a healthy lunch. There’s a bar area in the front with a beautiful handmade cupboard where they show some products you can buy in their online shop. Like a knitting-package of Wool and the Gang. There was one wall made out of light snips of paper.
In the back there’s an airy space with simple tables, a lot of good magazines and dreamy pictures on the wall. We’ve ordered a quiche with goat cheese and carrot and a thick sliced wholesome bread with mustard and cured ham. A good stuffed lunch. I like the poster of Coffeeklatch.be saying: ‘Everybody should believe in something I believe I’ll have another coffee’. And the i/Object Toilet Roll Holder Lines by Chevalier Masson is something worth having at home as well (24 euro).
