Welcome to
Petite Passport!

With a background in journalism and a deep affection for beautifully designed places, I launched Petite Passport back in 2010. The idea? To share my personal archive of inspiring addresses with the world. I figured I’d have it all online within six months. And yet, here we are – fifteen years later – and new, noteworthy spots keep opening their doors, each one deserving a place on this platform. And in your travel plans.

There’s no large team behind Petite Passport. It’s just me, supported by designer Yah-Leng Yu of Foreign Policy Design and developer Lennart Mulder of Erecode. That’s it. I believe in the power of less, but better. You won’t find 1,000-point checklists here that spark a fear of missing out before your trip even begins. Nor will you find viral TikTok travel trends made for the masses. Petite Passport is about uncovering the discreet, design-led places you’d recommend to a friend. I do the legwork – research, walking miles, photographing spaces – so you can discover them with ease.

How to Navigate Petite Passport

Know your destination?

Head straight to the Destinations page. Filter by EAT, SHOP, or STAY, and voilà: your curated shortlist is ready – whether you’re off to Paris or hunting for a special stay in Puglia.

Here for some travel inspiration?

Visit the Journal. Dive into articles like The Best Wine Design Hotels or explore the latest openings of the month.

Prefer an online guide?

The online shop offers downloadable city guides for places like Antwerp and Lisbon. Load the accompanying Google Maps on your phone and you’re ready to explore.

Or rather a printed guide?

For print lovers, our guides are also available in-store – at H&M Home, their online shop, and select concept stores, including locations on Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat and London’s Regent Street.

Interested in Design Stays, my first coffee table book?

I’m also the author and photographer of Design Stays, a coffee table book featuring 45 of the most beautiful hotels and guesthouses in Europe. It’s stocked in the likes of Le Bon Marché in Paris, New Mags in Copenhagen, and via the publisher’s website.

Join me on social media?

On Instagram, I take you along for the ride—sharing photos and videos from beautiful places, as well as small moments that catch my eye in each city. You’ll find everything neatly saved in the Highlights.

Exclusive advice and other collaborations?

I offer one-on-one consultations for individuals and brands. And I’m open to collaborations – as long as they align with Petite Passport’s philosophy. Just send me an email.

Enjoy Petite Passport – and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
