With a background in journalism and a deep affection for beautifully designed places, I launched Petite Passport back in 2010. The idea? To share my personal archive of inspiring addresses with the world. I figured I’d have it all online within six months. And yet, here we are, 15 years later, and new, inspiring places keep opening their doors, each one deserving a place on this platform. And in your travel plans.
There’s no large team behind Petite Passport. Apart from a designer, a developer, sales person and publisher for Design Stays, it’s just me, visiting and photographing almost all places on the site, sharing tips on Instagram, publishing the guides, writing the newsletter, making Design Stays and answering your mails. That’s it. I believe in the power of less, but better. You won’t find 1,000-point checklists here that spark a fear of missing out before your trip even begins. Nor will you find viral travel trends made for the masses. Petite Passport is about uncovering the discreet, design-led places you’d recommend to a friend. I do the legwork – research, walking miles, photographing spaces – so you can discover them with ease.
