From Surry Hills to Bondi Beach
22 August 2017
Commune Bondi brings the work of artisans and sustainable entrepreneurs together in a super cute shop in Sydney.
If you’re going to Bondi to shop you probably end up at Gould Street. The street with a lot of cool boutiques – like Aesop and Saturdays Surf. To reach Commune Bondi you need to take an extra effort as it’s located slightly out of the center – roughly said: a ten-minute walk. But then you arrive in a lovely shop where you basically want to buy everything. Trust me.
Loren and Kristie, friends and the owners of Commune, shared a love for sustainable goods. So their dream was to open a shop where they could bring together the work of local artisans and entrepreneurs with a good story. They sell beautiful mugs next to fashion, rugs and lamps. I love their Commune Mykonos lamps hanging above the counter. But also the Yoli & Otis dresses.
