Off-the-beaten-path brunch spot

Malmö is the third city of Sweden, the capital of Skåne and the birth place of famous football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The city felt calm with not that much traffic, it’s easy to explore by bike and there are many parks and water to enjoy some nature in the city too (although the surroundings are full of nature too, see highlights Skåne). There are some cool shops, interesting museums and they have a stunning public library. It’s only a 30-minute drive or quick train ride from Copenhagen and there are plans for a metro line between the two cities. In short: a calm and easy-going city trip destination for 1 or max 2 days, which makes it the ideal base to start exploring Skåne.

Great place for lunch – also if you’re a solo traveller.
We’ve stayed at Story Hotel. This once independent hotel chain is now taking over by Hyatt, so it doesn’t feel independent anymore, but the views are amazing. You can choose for a City View (pictured and the cheaper option) or Ocean View. The Duxiana was also on my list, but they were closed for Summer.
