BARGE BRUSSELS

On a corner of the busy Diksmuidenlaan in Brussels you’ll find Barge, a restaurant by a young chef and sommelier who used to work at l’Air du Temps**.

Brick walls

At Barge they make exquisite dishes and serve excellent wines in a laidback atmosphere. Think: brick walls, school chairs, a concrete bar and a view over de Diksmuidenlaan where immigrants hope to find a job for the day in order to make some money.

Lunch & dinner

Chef Grégoire Gillard, who won Gault & Millau’s best young chef of 2020, has a focus on working with ingredients from local suppliers. Same goes for the wines. Sommelier Barbara Hoornaert has a wine list of mostly European wines she picked out by personally visiting their wineries. They are open for lunch and dinner and they serve a set-menu of 3 (lunch only) – 6 courses.
