TOKYOBIKE LOS ANGELES

Japanese bike brand tokyobike has its US home at The Row in Downtown Los Angeles in a beautifully designed store by Klein Agency.

From Japan to the rest of the world

tokyobike launched its first bike in 2002 in Tokyo. The elegant and lightweight bike quickly became popular across the world. There was a pop up at Paramount Coffee Roasters in Sydney, at the Ace Hotel in LA they provided the bikes to explore the area, in Williamsburg there was a pop up together with a skater brand and they opened stores in cities such as London, Berlin and Melbourne.

Flagshipstore

Dean di Simone and Juliana Rudell di Simone brought the brand to the US in 2014 by opening a store on Bowery and Prince Street (now closed). When the couple moved to the Westcoast, they found a location at The Row in Downtown LA. They asked Klein Agency to work on the design and they build custom-made aluminum platforms, a wonderful bike-hanging system and a wooden slat wall to divide the store and the workshop. In the store you can buy your next tokyobike (or the first one for your child) and lots of accessories.
