In the same building as Pizza East, the Tea Building in Shoreditch, you’ll find Lyle’s. A clean and minimalistic space where you can try their daily changing menu full of British ingredients. James Lowe, former head-chef at St John Bread & Wine, is running the kitchen and gathers his food from the UK itself. They work together with local farmers and fishermen and every day they have a set menu for dinner. Don’t expect a typical fish & chips, but think of kipper, kale & sea weed for example (on the menu of November 19th). Apart from dinner, they are also open for lunch and you can walk in during the day for a coffee. A recommendation if you love fine dining in a serene interior.
