While everyone is gearing up for the summer holidays, we’re putting one of the most popular countries on our site in the spotlight this week: Italy. Of course, you can already find plenty of wonderful hotspots on our site, but in this article, we’re sharing the latest openings and the places that have been on our wishlist forever. From Puglia to Florence, and from the Dolomites to Sicily. Divertiti.

Sicily & Tuscany

Casa Lawa: A vibrant, colorful retreat nestled at the foot of Mount Etna in Sicily. You can rent the entire house, but they also host amazing culinary retreats. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Casa Newton: A striking red country house in Tuscany boasting a beautifully colorful interior. Outside, it’s all about lounging under striped parasols right by the pool.

La Darbia Chianti: new 2026 in the hills of Tuscany. Three farmhouses were converted into minimalistic suites.

Florence

Numeroventi: This is more than just a unique place to stay; they also host exhibitions, intimate dinners, and creative events.

Art Tip: If you’re in Florence and have already checked Michelangelo’s David off your list, be sure to book a ticket for the Rothko exhibition at Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. Open until August 23rd.

Venice

Art Biennale: You can visit the Art Biennale in Venice until November 22nd. While you’re there, make sure to add the brand-new Fondazione Dries Van Noten to your itinerary.

Rome

Roma Experimental: Planning a autumn getaway to Rome? It’s well worth keeping tabs on the new Experimental hotel opening, which is slated to open its doors this October.

Local hotspots: Looking for more design and vibe-check spots in the capital? Absolutely. Check out 33 Giri, a local listening bar that currently runs a summer pop-up by the beach.

Puglia

Masseria Moroseta is hosting many creative and culinary workshops this year again, and if you’re there make sure to visit Ostuni, the beautiful white village near the hotel. We’ve shared Burro Café earlier, for coffee and pastries, and if you want to go to a wine bar, visit Sponda.

Northern Italy

Radical (Liguria): Just a 45-minute drive from Genoa, you can enjoy a gorgeous lunch hosted by two passionate chefs at their farm, Radical. A guesthouse is also in the works for the future.

Grubern Gut (South Tyrol): Keep this one on your radar. Brought to you by the same brilliant minds behind Parkhotel Mondschein and Villa Arnica, this upcoming destination sits at an altitude of 1,500 meters, where serenity and nature seamlessly come together. Not open just yet, but definitely one for the future list.
