With 3daysofdesign just around the corner, Copenhagen is top of mind for anyone who loves design. While you can check out the full program on their official site, and all my favorite addresses are already listed on the Copenhagen page and in The Copenhagen Guide, I always love expanding the list. Here are some brand-new openings, must-see exhibitions, and other spots I haven’t managed to photograph just yet. Enjoy!
Interior design shop Stilleben originally started in the city center, but has been located near Nørreport for ten years (!) now. And they are on the move again. On July 1st, they will return to the heart of the city, where they are bound to create another incredibly inspiring retail experience.
Contemporary Copenhagen is a cool exhibition space located in the raw, industrial area of Refshaleøen. While it features a permanent light installation by James Turrell, Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has just created a wooden installation there that is absolutely worth a visit.
Frederik Bille Brahe, the chef behind Atelier September and Apollo, is opening a brand-new restaurant this June. Keep an eye on his Instagram for the latest updates.
And Atelier September has also opened a new location in Frederiksberg.
Riviera is at the top of everyone’s wishlist right now. Think a Frama-designed interior, Nordic sweet treats, and brunch dishes with a subtle Italian twist, brought to you by chef Chiara Barla.
If you’re looking to stay inside your own little bubble and quickly hop back on your bike to head home after class, Rave Yoga might not be for you. This is a truly social wellness experience: yoga combined with coffee, matcha, or tea in some of the city’s most impressive locations.
At Arturel Studio, everything revolves around silence – and therefore, sound. While we often talk about light and air pollution, noise pollution is just as important. Be sure to visit their studio, which is also open during 3 daysofdesign.
Goose Deli is a Chinese deli, bakery, and fermentation lab. It’s located a bit outside the city center, further towards the northwest of Copenhagen.
Dalles Coffee has opened a new location, this time in Østerbro.
Bonni is a cool casual café in Nørrebro.
Tadaima opened a new apartment store in the heart of Copenhagen.
Auren’s Deli has now opened a grocery store, deli and coffee bar across the road.
In the mood for Italian? Book a table at Tavola di Masseria, which just opened its doors in April.
Coffee Collective have opened a new café at Trianglen in Østerbro.
Simone Book Services is a fantastic independent bookstore located right around the corner from Lido Copenhagen.
