Journal

The final article of the year brings just two messages from me. First of all, a big thank you for travelling along with me for yet another year and discovering the most beautiful places together. And secondly, I’m taking you along the most popular destinations of 2025 – the places you searched for the most. I’ve added links so you can instantly dive into even more inspiration.

Paris

In previous years, Paris and Amsterdam were neck and neck for the top spot. This year, Paris has truly taken the lead. A city you can keep exploring endlessly, beautiful in every season, and with new hotspots opening all the time.

Italy

Anyone who loves good food ends up searching for holiday homes in Italy. Puglia remains a favourite for summer escapes, while the mountains in the North are especially popular right now. And then there are cities like Florence and Rome – when are we going back?

Madrid

The Spanish capital is in its element. So many great addresses, fantastic shopping, and some of the world’s greatest art all in one place. Everything comes together here, and I can only highly recommend a city trip.

Antwerp

Shopping, the best cinnamon buns, and spending the night in a former monastery — Antwerp has it all. Explore the city centre, or head to the Groenkwartier or towards Berchem, where I enjoyed a wonderful meal this year at Soixante.

France

Whether you’re planning a getaway near Paris or travelling south by TGV, beautiful holiday spots can be found all across the country. Brittany remains popular, and I’m also spotting some exciting new openings in the North, and in Normandy.

Marrakech

My first visit to Marrakech turned out to be a bullseye. I still melt when I think about the tajine at Sahbi Sahbi, and the silence of the desert.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is so much more than the canals. For your next city trip, look beyond the centre and explore the surrounding neighbourhoods – and don’t forget Noord. I’ve mapped everything out for you in a Google Maps file, so you won’t miss a thing.

Lisbon

A city that takes food seriously simply deserves a spot on this list. Add to that the sunsets, colourful streets and wonderful addresses, and you’ll understand why. I already want to go back – I once visited in January when it was 17 degrees, making it a great winter destination too.

Milan

Milan is one of those cities where it really helps to know where to go, as it’s all quite wide-spread. Wander aimlessly and you might miss the best bakery in town or a truly great Greek restaurant.

Mallorca

It’s easy to see why Mallorca is so popular. Beaches, hiking and cycling, plus a city – and of course plenty of beautiful (wellbeing) addresses. Es Racó d’Artà is one of them, and Meem Townhouse is another favourite.
