TRIED & TESTED
Coffee cafe in Raval

Some restaurants bring you in a festive mood and Cecconi’s in Barcelona is one of them. It’s the place you go to when you’re celebrating your birthday for example or have a hot date. You can also go there to treat yourself and friends to a dinner to celebrate your friendship. Or take your family there for a brunch on Sunday.
Inspired by Northern Italy
Cecconi’s is part of Soho House Barcelona, the latest Soho House. As the name already suggest the menu is inspired by Italy. The land of appetizers to die for, pastas and delicious desserts. And the people behind Cecconi’s bring their love to Italy to the table – and bar – of this stunning restaurant.
Just like the rest of Soho House Cecconi’s has a beautiful interior too. All the Cecconi’s have a different color scheme. Red in Berlin, green in Mayfair, London. And here in Barcelona they choose for Burgundy. That, together with the plants, the beautiful floor and inspiring art makes it a feast for the eye. Then there’s the open kitchen with a glass roof that can be opened during hot Summer nights. A magical place where you see the chefs preparing your food while you’re enjoying a Prosecco.
Before having dinner I’ve asked their recommendations and apparently their favorites are the carpaccio as a starter, the quinoa salad, the black truffle pasta and the spaghetti lobster. I’ve tried their black truffle agnolotti and it was indeed very good – just like the Vitello tonnato.
A lovely dinner experience and highly recommended for people who like to dine for hours and like Italian food. A reservation is recommendable.
