TRIED & TESTED

Last Thursday I went to Antwerp for the opening of Mercado, the first indoor food market of Belgium. In a former post office you can now try all kind of dishes (from sushi to dim sum and from chicken to, of course, waffles). It’s located across the Groenplaats, the perfect location to have a food stop when you’re going on a shopping trip to Antwerp!
But there was more that caught my eye during my day in Antwerp:
I always park my car at the Kaaien (still free parking) and this time I’ve tried the Antwerp bikes to drive from one place to another. Comes in handy if you also want to visit ‘t Eilandje. It costs 3,80 euro per day.
Love to stop at Buchbar for coffee and to browse through their collection of beautiful coffee table books and novels.
I’ve spotted this vintage car in front of Buchbar. Love it!
I’ve also learned about a cool concept called Marta in Antwerp. Every first Saturday of the month they organize a Farmers Market at the Kattendijkdok where, during the day, they sell food products and everything that hasn’t been sold they make into delicious dinner at the end of the day. Check out their Facebook page here.
Since last Thursday there’s also an Ace & Tate store in Antwerp.
More Tried & Tested’s on Petite Passport soon – or check out the Antwerp page on Petite Passport for all my favorite addresses! Enjoy!
