TRIED & TESTED

It’s almost impossible to get a seat at 11.30am on a Thursday – Native is completely full. And that’s nothing new, because since they opened three months ago it’s a big hit in Haarlem. The location is superb: in a side street from the Grote Houtstraat, a commercial shopping street. They have a cute terrace and inside you’ll first notice the beautiful bar – designed by local design studio C’est ne pas l’Atelier. They work together with more local entrepreneurs: cheese from ‘t Kaaswinkeltje, flowers from Klavertje Vier and White Label Coffee. On the menu a variety of delicious things: from empanadas from Argentina to sandwiches and yogurt with granola. I was told I had to order the Native tosti, but because I just had lunch at another spot, I have to try that next time. I will come back though!
