TALL TIMBER MELBOURNE

Most striking feature:

The cool chairs they hang on the wall if they don’t need them for a while. Creative. That’s a word that truly describes the interior of Tall Timber. Because if you walk into their cafe and feel the urge to dig out your notebook to start sketching how you would  implement this style into your own home it’s much more than just some furniture (look at the broom attached to the wall or, not pictured, the simple mirrors painted black and beige in the bathroom). You will first notice the bar where you will find the barista’s doing there thing. They work with Niccolo coffee and roast it on-site. The personnel is really friendly. They just finished a busy lunch so they were cleaning the place and doing the dishes with a smile on their faces. The atmosphere was relaxed. There were a few people reading papers on the long communal table and on the smaller tables I saw some couples chatting. The owners of Tall Timber are also known from Coin Laundry, a cafe in Armadale, but Tall Timber, now open for 8 months, resides on Commercial Street in Prahran. The place to go for breakfast and lunch – although I’ve ordered a refreshing juice here. Highly recommended!

Check out their Facebook page.

Thanks to I love Mr Mittens for this recommendation!
